The Tottoms Street Kit is our complete budget brushless upgrade for the stock Razor Crazy Cart. It uses the factory fork and allows you to run the same core motor system as our PRO Kit while giving you the option to upgrade to the PRO Fork later.

With smoother throttle control, improved efficiency, and stronger overall performance, the Street Kit gives you the main benefits of a brushless setup without requiring the full PRO Kit from day one.

FAQ

Which Crazy Cart models does the Steet Kit fit?

The PRO Kit is specifically designed for the Standard Size Crazy Cart.

It is NOT COMPATIBLE with: Crazy Cart XL; Crazy Cart Shift; Crazy Cart Shuffle

What is a PRO Kit and what makes it different than the street kit?

The Tottoms PRO Kit is our full brushless upgrade system for the standard Razor Crazy Cart. It includes our complete motor and controller system along with the Tottoms PRO Fork, giving you a stronger front end, hydraulic disc brakes, a stiffer steering feel, and the signature Tottoms look.

The Street Kit uses the same core motor and controller system, but is designed to work with the stock Crazy Cart fork. This makes it a more affordable way to go brushless now, while still giving you the option to upgrade to the PRO Fork later.

Once you upgrade your Street Kit with the PRO Fork, it becomes a full PRO Kit.

Will this work on a kart I've already modified?

Yes. This replaces the entire powertrain and can be used with a battery that you already have if you have not opted for ours.

What if I want to upgrade to the PRO Kit in the future?

That’s exactly what this kit was designed for. Purchase the full motor and controller system now, then upgrade to our PRO Fork system when you’re ready.

Upgrading to our PRO Fork is all thats needed to turn your street kit into a PRO kit.

The PRO Fork gives you a significantly stronger front end with a mono-tube stem, hydraulic disc brakes, a stiffer steering feel, and the signature Tottoms aesthetic our customers have come to expect.

Can I adjust the VESC settings myself, or is it locked?

The controller is not locked and you are able to do any tuning adjustments you'd like BUT as to not void warranty, VESC settings can only be changed with the assistance of a Tottoms team member.

Please reach out to our support team if you would like to make any changes to your controller.

Where am I actually allowed to ride it?

Anywhere smooth and private: your own driveway, an empty lot, a track, or a sanctioned event space. It loves clean pavement and concrete — skip grass, gravel, and wet surfaces. If the spot isn't yours, get permission first.

How difficult is the install and what skill level is this aimed at?

It requires an intermediate skill level and a few basic tools. There is some drilling required for the on/off switch and the new battery mounting location but is very simple to do with our included video guide.

If I use my own battery what connector do I need?

If you plan to use your own battery, you must use an XT90-S female battery connector. The anti-spark feature helps protect the controller from the electrical surge that can happen when connecting a battery, unlike a standard XT90 connector. Using a standard XT90 connector can void your warranty.

If you need a custom adapter for your battery, please contact us or include it in your order notes. We may be able to assist with the correct adapter for your setup.

What kind of upkeep does it need?

Far less than a gas kart. There is no oil, no fuel, and no engine to tune. Keep it charged, keep it dry, and check your tires, rear drift wheels, belt or chain tension, and bolt tension every so often.

Before each ride, we recommend checking your belt or chain tension. You do not want it overly tight or overly loose. It should sit right in the middle with a little bit of movement.

Tires will usually be the biggest wear item you need to replace, especially with higher powered setups. If you are tired of replacing the stock rear scooter wheels, check out our Tottoms Casters for a stronger, longer lasting rear wheel setup.

If you plan to store the battery for a longer period of time, we recommend leaving it around 50% to 70% charge to help maintain battery health and longevity.

Is the speed adjustable?

Yes, speed is adjustable through the digital display.

You can easily set up ECO mode with your preferred speed limit and power percentage, allowing you to fine-tune the kit for different riders, riding areas, or comfort levels.

Warranty Information

What is covered under warranty?

We cover the full powertrain with our 6-month warranty. This includes the controller, motor, and battery, as long as no changes are made without approval from the Tottoms team.

Adjusting controller tuning, wiring, connectors, or system settings without approval may void your warranty. If there is a setting you would like adjusted, please contact us first. We are more than happy to help you make the proper changes safely.

This warranty does not cover water damage. Please note that these kits are not waterproof. Damage can occur if water enters the controller, battery, wiring, or other electrical components.

All Tottoms batteries come equipped with an XT90-S anti-spark connector. You only need to worry about this if you are using your own battery. If you use a standard XT90 connector without the anti-spark feature, you can potentially damage the controller. The anti-spark feature helps protect the internal components of the controller from the electrical surge that can happen when plugging in a battery.

Using a battery without an XT90-S anti-spark connector may void your warranty. If you are using your own battery and need an XT90-S connection, we can make a custom adapter for your setup. Please contact us before connecting your battery so we can help make sure everything is set up correctly.

Consumable parts are not covered under warranty. This includes items such as tires, belts, chains, sprockets, brake pads, and other wear items. These parts naturally wear down with use and will need to be replaced over time.

Consumables may only be covered if they fail due to a manufacturer defect. A manufacturer defect means the part failed because of an issue with the way it was made, not because of normal wear, misuse, improper installation, water damage, crash damage, or lack of maintenance.
